Vacations spots...where to dip our feet this year?!

Seems completely bonkers planning whats on tap for the upcoming schools breaks - but time to start researching and putting some deposits down. As always for us - cheap and cheerful is the only option, with the added hitch of finding stuff the kids and dogs will enjoy also.  No visit to the UK this year for us. Next year is on the cards.... all been well.

We had the lovely offer to join friends in Florida for Spring break but with the flights and all, we just cant swing it.......so, l have been looking at a possible road trip down to North and South Carolina's either camping, or a log cabin deep in the woods. Both cheap as chips, outdoors with nature which is a winner all round in my family, some water for the dogs to get their jollies, and an opportunity to see some belting scenery on the way.  There is mind a Yurt upstate NY l have had my eyes on ......but maybe too cold still in April.

Brute force visiting VRBO, Flipkey, and Homeaway websites to flush a diamond in the rough.....

Adirondack's Summer 2013 -We had just hiked three hours and came to this beautiful waterfall/pool. Nelly my dog at the time dove straight in, the kids stripped and made a run for it, me - l just took off my boots, dipped my feet and closed my eyes. …

A wonderful day, fantastic memories camping up at Heart Lake...

Will keep you posty if you like myself are interested in some cheap....but cheerful vacation options. After all...we always have a bunch of fun wherever we end up!
