Simplicity and Repetition

My husband made these planters as part of a design I put together for a client of mine almost 7 years ago on the corner of Clinton/Union. It was one of my last clients before giving birth to my first child. It was then I hung up the spade to stay home with my now two children.
For the design my aim was simplicity, easy to maintain as it was a Co-op building, fill the huge exspansive space without it looking busy, and a design that would be timeless and still easy on the eye many years down the line. I walk past those same planters most days, and I have to say... They still fit the bill.
Simplicity through repetition never grows old. To me it is striking, understated, and most of all easy on the eye.
